Looking at it through the lens of my job, conventional dating often feels like a weird game. People are constantly negotiating their worth. There are all these rigid criteria—looks, age, social norms—that ruthlessly filter people in or out. And there’s always that question hanging in the air: What does this actually mean? Are we heading towards a relationship, or not?

I’m so glad my work as an escort happens completely outside of that game. Whether you fit society’s ideals, or whether we’d make a "normal" couple in the real world, is wonderfully irrelevant here. All that matters is our encounter. Treating each other with respect, and just having a really good time in the here and now.

Getting to meet such a wide, diverse range of people this way is incredibly enriching, and it's something that I wouldn't want to miss for anything.
